Audience:
This course is designed for non-technical telecommunications professionals with little or no cellular experience who desire to learn basic concepts and terminology of 1xEV-DO wireless data networks.

Course Description:
Mobile data is becoming an increasingly important part of the wireless landscape. 1xEV-DO technology is enabling wireless operators to provide a diverse set of new offerings such as Voice over IP (VoIP), Video Telephony (VT), Internet Access, Email, Push-to-Talk (PTT), and Wireless Network gaming to their customers. These new applications provide both differentiation and new growth opportunities for wireless operators. It is important for many non-technical telecommunications professionals to understand the key concepts and “buzz words” of 1xEV-DO wireless data networks. This course provides basic, easy-to-understand explanations of how 1xEV-DO wireless data networks work. Internetworking with CDMA2000 networks is also outlined. Common terms used in 1xEV-DO technology are defined. Key 1xEV-DO and Internet concepts are also provided.
