 CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev A Fundamentals

Basic technical knowledge in wireless telecommunication
Knowledge of EV-DO release 0 is recommended.



Audience:
This course is for the technical professionals in the wireless telecommunications industry.

Course Description: 

1xEV-DO Rev A supports delay sensitive applications such as VoIP and/or video telephony and hence overcomes the limitations of Rev 0. This course provides a high level description of the enhancements of Rev A. Also there is a discussion of the affected 3GPP2 and TIA standards. The class then takes a look at modifications and additions to the 1xEV-DO protocol stack. Finally, Quality of Service from the access terminal to the PDSN in Rev A is discussed, reinforcing how the changes and additions to the Rev A protocol stack support QoS.
