 CDMA2000 Repeater Design and Deployment
Length:
8 hours (1 day)

Prerequisites:

A technical background in wireless communications is required for this course. Additionally completion of the following courses (or equivalent working knowledge) is preferred:

-          CDMA Engineering Basics and CDMA2000

Audience:

This course is intended for repeater designers and operators who need to learn about repeaters in CDMA systems

Course Description:

Repeaters are useful for extending the coverage and improving the network performance. This course presents link budget design aspects for repeater installation and various practical network deployment issues. The course begins with a review of basic repeater performance and requirements. The reverse link and the reverse link operating point is covered in great detail. The deployment of repeaters is discussed and a brief look at capacity and link budgets are considered.
